[Speaker Profile] Professor Cho Sung-ik
He studied architecture at Seoul National University and Yale University before earning his Ph.D. in Architecture from Seoul National University. He is currently a professor at the School of Architecture and Urban Design at Hongik University and founder of TRU Architects, balancing academia with professional practice. To extend insights gained from architectural design into the broader urban landscape, he established the "Charming City Lab," actively engaging in research and writing. He received the Presidential Award at the 2021 Korea Architecture Culture Awards for "Mangrove Sungin," a co-living housing project designed for single-person households. His major publications include Housing Experiments for People Living Alone and An Architect's Space Diary.

[강사 소개] 조성익 교수
서울대학교와 예일대학교 대학원에서 건축을 전공하고 서울대학교 건축학과에서 박사 학위를 받았다. 현재 홍익대학교 건축도시대학 교수로 재직하고 있으며, TRU 건축사 사무소를 설립하여 교육과 실무를 병행하고 있다. 건축 설계를 통해 발견한 생각을 도시로 확장하기 위해 ‘매력도시 연구소’를 설립하여 연구와 집필을 하고 있다. 1인 거주자를 위한 커뮤니티 주택 ‘맹그로브 숭인’으로 2021년 한국건축문화대상 대통령상을 받았다. 주요 저서로는 『혼자 사는 사람들을 위한 주거 실험』, 『건축가의 공간 일기』 가 있다.
