Nietzsche, a philosopher deeply beloved by artists. His profound influence on contemporary art is clear through his advocacy of pluralism alone. However, Nietzsche also presents a unique aesthetic theory—a "physiology of art"—that grounds the true essence of art in the physiological experience of "intoxication" (Rausch). If Nietzsche, both a pluralist and an art physiologist, were to encounter Andy Warhol's Brillo Boxes, what assessment would he offer, and what demands would he make? Can we truly look toward the future of art through this Dionysian phenomenon of "intoxication"? [Speaker Profile] Professor Baek Seung-young After completing his bachelor's and master's degrees in Philosophy at Sogang University, he earned his doctorate in Philosophy at the University of Regensburg in Germany. He has served as a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Philosophical Ideas at Seoul National University, a Research Professor at the Institute of Humanities at Yeungnam University, a Research Professor at the Plato Academy Foundation, and Vice President of the Nietzsche Society of Korea. He is currently a Visiting Professor in the Department of Aesthetics at the Graduate School of Hongik University. Widely recognized as South Korea's foremost authority on Nietzsche, he seamlessly traverses the academic realms of STEM and the arts through the lens of philosophy, championing the value of living a philosophical life. His major works include Nietzsche, Philosophy of Dionysian Affirmation, Nietzsche Speaks on Philosophical Politics, and Pathei Mathos. [강사 소개] 백승영 교수 서강대학교 철학과에서 학사와 석사 과정을 마친 후, 독일 레겐스부르크 대학교에서 철학 박사 학위를 받았다. 서울대학교 철학사상연구소 책임연구원, 영남대학교 인문과학연구소 연구교수, (재)플라톤아카데미 연구교수, 니체학회 부회장이었으며, 지금은 홍익대학교 대학원 미학과의 초빙교수로 있다. 명실상부 대한민국 ”니체 1인자“로 알려져 있으며, 이공계나 예술 분야의 상아탑을 철학을 매개로 자유로이 넘나들며 철학하는 삶의 중요성을 널리 외치고 있다. 주요 저서로는 『니체, 디오니소스적 긍정의 철학』, 『니체, 철학적 정치를 말하다』, 『파테이 마토스』 등이 있으며 최근 편역 『차라투스트라는 이렇게 말했다』 와 그 해설집인 『니체는 이렇게 말했다』를 출간해 다시금 평단의 주목을 받고 있다.
