New York, Discovery of Perspectives is a book that captures the journeys of Koreans navigating the heart of the New York art scene—from their initial entry to their struggles and triumphs.
It delivers passionate insights into the art world from eight Korean key players in New York, a city defined by creation, critique, and curation. Written by a financial lawyer and novice collector, the book shares the compelling stories of young Korean art professionals shaping the New York art market.
Through interviews across diverse roles—from acclaimed painters and sculptors to gallery owners, a fundraiser at MoMA, an art director at Fotografiska, and an in-house corporate counsel at Sotheby's—it brings vivid, firsthand accounts of those driving New York, the ultimate barometer of the global art market.
