Are fine art and design separate worlds, or a single ecosystem? Is design the enemy of art, or a longtime companion? Does design threaten the boundaries of art, or expand them? A panel talk questioning and exploring the relationship between art and design from various perspectives will be held at H.ART-1, a complex cultural space in Euljiro. This dialogue provides an innovative platform where key players of the art ecosystem—gallery operators, art agencies, craft and fine artists, and collectors—gather to broadly discuss everything from practical challenges to the contemporary sensibilities of our time. Yerim Hyun, a finance attorney at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC* and the author of New York, Discovery of Perspectives (which highlights Korean players in the New York art scene), will join as the moderator to shed a multidimensional light on the dynamics of art and design. Director John Kim of Parkim Agency and CEO Donghyup Kim of Link Seoul will be participating as panelists.
