Exhibition Statement
종이 위에 남겨진 선은 말 없는 이야기의 잔향입니다.
기억은 섬세하지만 흐릿하여, 시간이 지나며 조용히 퇴색됩니다.
이정은 작가는 그러한 기억의 감정을 종이에 스며들도록 색을 입히고, 선을 겹겹이 포개어 그 안에 머무르게 합니다.
작가에게 '선'은 단순한 조형 요소가 아니라, 시간과 감정을 기록하는 기억의 언어입니다.
반복되어 쌓인 선들은 감정의 구조를 이루며, 눈에 보이지 않던 기억은 서서히 모습을 드러냅니다. 작가는 감정과 시간에 물성을 부여하고, 기억을 시각화합니다. 이렇게 시간과 감정, 기억의 흐름을 종이 위에 켜켜이 남깁니다.
'기억을 포개다' 전시는 그렇게 '선을 포개어' 기억이 머무는 자리를 보여줍니다.
겹겹이 쌓인 선과 스며든 색은 사라질 듯한 감정을 다시 불러오며, 기억이 어떻게 축적되고 존재하며 우리곁에 남는지를 조용히 이야기 합니다.

The lines left on paper are silent echoes of untold stories.
Memories are delicate yet faint, quietly fading over time.
Artist Joanne Lee layers colors and lines, allowing emotions and memories to seep into the paper and remain within.
For Joanne Lee, a line is not merely a visual element but a language of memory-recording traces of time and feeling.
Through repeated gestures, the lines build structures of emotion, gradually revealing what was once unseen.
By giving form to time and sentiment, the artist visualizes the quiet presence of memory.
The exhibition presents a place where memories rest-through layered lines and absorbed hues that gently recall emotions on the verge of fading, reminding us how memories accumulate and endure.
