Exhibition Statement
《 남겨진 흔적 》은 로스앤젤레스를 기반으로 활동하는
다섯 명의 작가가 쌓아온 시간과 기억, 그리고 존재의 흔적을
한 공간에 펼쳐 보이는 전시이다. 각자의 방식으로 축적된
‘시간의 층’은 서로 교차하며 하나의 흐름을 이룬다.
이들의 작업에서 ‘흔적’은 단순한 잔여물이 아니다.
그것은 사라진 것이 아니라 남겨진 것이며, 지금의 우리를 형성하는
보이지 않는 구조이다. 시간은 지워지지 않고, 반복과 축적을 통해
겹겹이 쌓이며 현재 속에서 다시 새로운 의미로 재구성된다.
이 과정 속에서 흩어진 감정과 기억의 조각들은 작품 안에서
또 다른 형태로 이어지고, 하나의 경험으로 확장된다.
관객은 이 전시에서 하나의 결론에 도달하기보다,
각자의 기억과 감각을 통해 새로운 의미를 마주하게 된다.
시간은 사라지지 않는다.
흔적으로 남고, 그 흔적은 다시 현재를 만든다.
그리고 그 모든 것은, 보이지 않게 우리 안에 겹겹이 쌓여 있다.
우리는 어떤 흔적을 남기며, 무엇으로 기억될 것인가.

《 What Remains 》brings together five Los Angeles–based artists,
exploring time, memory, and the traces of existence.
Each work reveals how layers of time accumulate and intersect,
shaping who we are.
Here, traces are not what has disappeared, but what remains—an unseen structure that forms the present. Fragments of memory and emotion are reconnected, creating new meanings through each viewer’s experience.
Time does not fade. It remains within us, layer upon layer.
What traces do we leave behind, and how will we be remembered?
